In many ways it was hard to tell that this unique home on one of Maine’s many lakes was built in the 1970s and not more recently, but the kitchen gave it away—dark and cramped, it no longer worked for the homeowners who are avid cooks. We designed a new, streamlined, highly functional space and also acted as general contractor, carpenter and cabinetmaker. (It was a fulfilling experience but we are no longer offering construction services.) You can read more about the project here: https://www.finehomebuilding.com/project-guides/kitchens/1970s-revamp.
